COMMENTS
What did you like best about the curriculum? Least?
1. It opened my views more on the diffferent types of leadership skills. Very excellent leadership book by northouse. The cases were weak and could be better.
2. This was the very best course thus far. the lectures were very applicable and well delivered with enthusiasm.
3. Best- I thought blackboard was very efficient in submitting course assignments, and I wonder why we haven't used it until now?? Least- For this class, we had a 20-page leadership development plan. I thought that 20 pages was a bit extreme for the project. There was not enough "meat" to write about for the project, and I found that I was adding a whole lot of "fluff". In other words, I was not learning anything from "fluff". It would have been much more beneficial to write two 10's instead of a 20. Additionally, if the due date is week six, don't make us submit a draft in week five. We're grad students and really don't need a babysitter. We can talk to our cohort about our ideas for the paper without having a draft completed.
4. Best was the challenge the program presented. Least submitting the cases (rough drafts) without getting feedback.
5. The text was informative and easy to understand and apply to completing course objectives.
6. The book, Leadership by Northouse is an excellent book for this class - Northouse was easy to read & follow - It explained in great detail what type of leader a person is or can be or should not be - I truly enjoyed the class
7. The subject matter was interesting to me. Particularly the differences between the various theories.
8. The Leader Presentation was the most enjoyable component of this class however they were wasteful of time. The text was also excellent reading. The course required students to submit drafts of both written papers. It would have been helpful to get some sort of direction on those drafts being that they were submitted in advance. Upon receiveing grades from the first paper any misdirection could have been corrected with feedback from the instructor. The purpose of submitting the draft was to ensure that the paper was being worked on but after reveiwing severl other class mates paper's it was clear that only a handful of students actually comeplted the assignment as requested and I was one of those students. I think this course could have brought some local leaders into the classroom and they could have given presentiations on their leadership styles and how they got where they are today for inspiration to the class. I feel the leader presenetations were somewhat of a waste of time.
9. best - learning my personal traits least - no team project
10. The drafts of the papers were extremely time consuming and seemed to be unnecessary submissions. Since the papers were lengthy this course required more time than seemed reasonable within a six week period.

Please identify any strengths of the faculty member's performance. Weaknesses.
1. very knowledgeable about the course material but did not seem invested in the student's success.
2. strengths - knowledge of subject
3. I enjoyed the fact that the instructor got out with the students and not just st at the desk. this made it easier to open up discussion.
4. Excellent presentations. Very professional. did a good job explaining the theories. I think he presented the flow of the class very well, particularly the structure of when the drafts were do and their utility.
5. One evening after class Ron stayed way after 11:00 P.M. and spoke with me regarding my presentation skills - He is very knowledgable. He provided excellent alternatives, tools and resources to me so I will be able to capture my audience in the future. I thank him for his insight.
6. Ron has a clear command of the subject and is a quality instructor. He provides a good service to MVNU.
7. Knowledge enjoyed style of leadership
8. Ron is an excellent teacher. He brings a lot of excitement to the classroom. Hire more teachers' of his caliber.
9. Ron should receive the teaching award of MSM. He enjoys teaching and it comes through! He gave lot of work but it was meaningful. He was thorough and prompt in his grading and immediacy of posting the grades. He supported us with posting everything well in advance on blackboard. Money well invested! Thanks Ron! Kudos!
10. I had a death of a very close friend who was the babysitter for the last four years of my four year old. This happened upon having to finish my last paper. In this class I had an 86 average, on the previous paper I earned an 83 and on the presentation a 93. I had a 3.74 GPA having a full time job and a 4 year old to care for until I took this course. Dr. Ronald Bolender gave me a 60% on my Final paper. He witness that I was having a very difficult time with her passing and this was not taken into consideration. This is a Christian College and one would believe that mourning would be understood. I have not preformed like this before and he knew this by looking at all of my other grades in this class and this program. I am very disappointed to know that individual like this are teaching in this program.
11. Strengths included being able to control the class and the discussions. One strong member of the class did not control the instructor or the class. Knowledgeable of subject. Able to relate to the class.
