Grants
Faculty Development Grant Program (Category II), Summer 1999. This is a mini-grant that MVNU awards to selected
projects. This grant was for the development of Internet related resources for
the SOC444 Sociological Theory course. The focus of this project is to blend the
best of pedagogical teaching along with the advantages of the Internet.
Faculty
Development Grants Program, April 7, 1987, Title III. The name of the grant was
Evaluation Management as an Application of DBASE III PLUS. The purpose of this
grant was to encourage the use of the personal computer in the Registrar’s
Office as an evaluation tool.
CEEP Grant,
Spring 1991, Teagle Foundation, New York, New York. This grant was awarded to Mount
Vernon Nazarene University to work with retention and the underprepared student.
It was a five year $250,000 grant (an additional $250,000 was raised by the
college as a matching grant). The proposal was written by a team of
administrators. I was responsible for the design and implementation of the
grant.
